BRINGING YOUR PETS

PET POLICY

Clayton Park welcomes you, your children, and your pets, per this pet policy. Please read this policy in its entirety. You can also watch this short video on Pet Policy FAQs.

You must recognize that you are in an environment where there are likely to be many other dogs and many small children. Therefore, we take our leash requirements and supervision of pets seriously. To provide a safe and pleasurable experience for everyone, all campers and visitors agree to abide by this pet policy. Maximum of 2 dogs weighing no more than 85 pounds each (online is max 2 dogs no more than 25 pounds each). When asked, Campers must be able to provide thier dog's vaccination records. Have you ever been asked to provide proof of insurance for your dog? Do you know if you are insured in the event your dog bites someone? What about if your dog is bitten by another dog? Did you know that in the U.S., a dog bite occurs every 75 seconds, and every day 1000 people seek emergency treatment for dog bites? As responsible campground owners, we must think about it. Have you? When asked, Campers must also provide proof of insurance (your declarations page) for their dog. Read more about why you should insure your dogs here.

Clayton Park may grant a waiver and make exceptions to this rule on a case by case basis only, and with an abundance of caution.  A waiver requires that the owners & management of Clayton Park management meet, interact, and approve of the dog in advance of granting a reservation. This waiver may involve special restrictions, and may be reassessed and revoked at any time. Waivers will be made in writing, and do not eliminate the pet owner's liability or imply Clayton Park bears liability for the animal's management conduct and/or behavior. A waiver does not imply that Clayton Park accepts any liability for the pet's conduct and behavior. Pet owners must be prepared to show proof of additional insurance for the pet considered for waiver. Non compliance with this pet policy and/or any incident which demonstrates a violation of this policy will result in immediate expulsion from Clayton Park property and forfeiture of all monies paid.
