WHY DO PEOPLE COME TO CLAYTON PARK?
Whether you are passing through or here for the season, Whether you're here for the local attractions or visiting family in the area. The feedback we here the most is that people come for the peace and quiet. Clayton Park provides a respite where guests can enjoy camping, fishing, boating, live music, and just a smattering of the right activities offered on the weekends. You won't see a bunch of golf carts running around, there's no jam-packed activity schedule, and we are not an amusement park atmosphere. Our activities are intentionally designed to enhance your outdoor experience, and will never overshadow the natural surroundings we treasure and are so blessed to be part of.
We are a hub for people to explore from, centrally located between the cities of Scranton, Honesdale, and Carbondale. Some come to tour the waterfalls around us. Some come to visit Montage's water park or the Peach Festival. Some come to ride the trains at Steamtown, Stourbridge, or the RTBM&N to Jim Thorpe. There are all sorts of foodie finds. And, there are myriad nearby wineries and cideries, farm markets, fairs, festivals, and other events that happen nearby.
AMENITIES
Stay on a pull through site for your large rig. Or maybe stay on a site with a concrete patio. Shop in our convenience store. Visit our showers and restrooms, or do some laundry while you're here. Swim in our outdoor pool. Request some firewood and burn it in one of our smokeless fire rings while sitting in your Adirondack chairs. Launch a boat or kayak. Walk the park, forest bath, meditate, or enjoy a nearby hiking trail. Listen to live music from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Bring your pets and enjoy our leash free area. Refuel your electric vehicle at our charging station.
CAMPFIRE MUSIC SERIES
It all began here in 2008, when we began hosting musicians around the campfire. Every Saturday evening between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend (and special events beyond), enjoy live music from local musicians between 8 and 10pm. Tap to the beat, sing along, dance around, or just hang out and listen under the lakeside open air pavilion at the home of Florence Swoyer's Music Studio. Keep your eyes open, we may occasionally bring music to your campsite, too!
The Campfire Music Series is dedicated to the memory of Florence Swoyer and her undeniable and never-ending love of music.
EPICURIAN ENDEAVORS
Throughout the summer, there are sporadic events around the campfire and in our social center. We start out the season with a Meet and Greet. Then we host sporadic foodie fun the rest of the season. Our Annual Campers' Party takes place the third Saturday of September. And then, it's Thanksgiving in The Woods & FriendsGiving weekend.

Every Saturday evening between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend (and special events beyond), enjoy live music on the lakefront from local musicians between 8 and 10pm. Since 2008, our music studio pavilion has been home to this series, which was originally inspired by Florence Swoyer's love of music and all things musical. Come see where it all started...join us around the fire, and help us keep Florence's love of music alive.
SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES
Most of our scheduled activities take place Saturday afternoons, about 2pm, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with special events beyond. You might happen upon artsy/craftsy moments, or maybe our annual fire safety, or a dinosaur egg hunt. All of August is live animal education. There's minute-to-win-it, and sometimes we even do field trips. You can find our schedule in our store, or give us a call for more information and updates.
FISHING
Lake Henry is a well known fishing hole, home to bass, pickerel, catfish and plenty of pan fish. You must have a license to fish our waters. You can buy a license online and less than 10 minutes away in Hamlin. We sell nightcrawlers and a limited supply of fishing equipment.
BOATING
You can bring your own boat to launch, or rent one of our rowboats. All boaters must obey the slow no-wake zone at the northen end of Lake Henry.

OUTDOORS & BIRDWATCHING
There are plenty of places for quiet enjoyment, walking, biking, blueberry picking, bird watching, and wildlife observation. There's an area for meditation, and plenty of opportunities for forest bathing. Lake Henry is home to various types of wild life and birds such as bald eagles, otters, herons, egrets, loons, mergansers, and more. Photographic opportunities await you.
